Coach Anthony Hicks

A native of Greensboro, Alabama, developed a deep passion for baseball from a young age. He started playing little league baseball when he was just five years old, and his love for the game only grew stronger as he got older. Throughout his high school years at Greensboro High School, Anthony continued to play baseball and experienced considerable success.

His exceptional performance in high school caught the attention of college scouts, ultimately leading to him receiving a full athletic scholarship to play baseball at Selma University. During his time at Selma University, Anthony excelled in the NAIA Division, further enhancing his reputation as a talented player. As a result, scouts from MLB began to take notice of his abilities and potential.

While attending and graduating from Selma University, Anthony realized his desire to share his knowledge and passion for the game with others. He aspired to become a teacher and coach, particularly focusing on mentoring young men in the fundamentals of baseball. His goal is to provide them with the necessary skills and guidance to pursue opportunities to play at the collegiate level or even secure contracts with professional teams.

With his experience as a successful player and his education from Selma University, Anthony is well-equipped to instruct and guide aspiring baseball players. His aim is to instill in them not only the technical aspects of the game but also the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. By sharing his knowledge and serving as a mentor, Anthony hopes to help young athletes achieve their dreams and create a positive impact on their lives through the sport he loved so much.
